Pan Head offers low clearance from the low profile, large diameter head. Slightly rounded top surface and short vertical sides. Length is measured from under the head. Can be used in most situatinos when general bearing strength is needed.Machine threads are used in a pre-tapped hole with a nut. Zinc is a popular and economical plating and is a good choice for interior applications when working with acidic woods like red/white oak, or when the screw will be countersunk and plugged.
